Club Midnight, January 16th, 2010, De Kade, Zaandam Back Back Club Midnight Net toen het er naar uitzag dat de Gothic scene in Amsterdam op sterven na dood was, 2 figuren doken op en combineerde hun succesvolle Boudoir Bizarre Fetish Parties met deze creative, maar stervende Gothic scene. De combinatie van deze twee stromingen in de specifieke sfeer van de lokatie zorgde voor een explosie van creativiteit, die de meeste zogenaamde Fetish/Gothic parties ver voorbij ging. Van de 2 figuren achter Midnight Sin is er nu nog 1 over. Nico, (aka Nico2000) is verder gegaan met de medewerking van anderen en het feest is nu bekend als Club Midnight. Als je ooit op bezoek bij Boehem Noir in Berlijn, of Club Antichrist in Londen, dan kan je je een beetje voorstellen wat voor feest Club Midnight is. De aan afgelopen editie was op 16 januari, 2010 en was een heerlijk mengeling Gothic pesoonlijkheden en een leuke groep Boudoir Bizarre publiek die extra moeite hadden genomen om dit event mee te maken. Jammer dat het weer erg tegenzat met brute kou en sneeuw en glad ijs, wat ongetwijfeld een aantal mensen thuis heeft geheouden. Zonder goede DJ's is een feest natuurlijk ook niks. Maar met 4 uitmuntende DJ's kan het niet meer stuk. Club Midnight heeft al twee erg goede Resident DJ's, Annakonda en G-Host. Beide even divers als origineel en altijd zonder problemen in staat de gehele avond de dansvloer te vullen met zowel Fetish als Gothic publiek. Voeg daar nog de twee gast DJ's van deze avond bij, XLII en KRAT en de avond kon en ging dus ook niet meer stuk. De vaste bezoekers weten inmiddels wel dat er voor elk wat wils is. Dansvloer, Lounge, Speelruimtes, Absinthebar, smokingroom en altijd een paar leuke acts. Onder de vaste bezoekers mensen als Amarantha LaBlanche, Miss Mirjana & Katana. Goede voorbeelden van mensen die Gothic Beauty combineren met een Fetish lifestyle. Genoegen voor alle zintuigen is wat een leuk feest verandert in een geweldig feest en Club Midnight doet elke keer weer dat beetje extra door het feest met live visuals te laten omlijsten door Amsterdams bekendste VJ's, V-Tox en Statik. We hebben nog geen buffet, of snoepjes e.d. langs zien komen, maar er is genoeg eye candy om je etenslust te bedwingen. En voor iedereen. De Gothic scene is altijd al een beetje "genderless" geweest, dus sex, kleur, of voorkeur is geen punt hier. Zolang je maar je best doet ja aan de dress- en gedrags-code te houden. Natuurlijk is eng ook leuk en waarom niet je grenzen verleggen met zoveel mooie Goths en fetishtas verzameld in een ruimte. Een zeer redelijke 15 euro toegang, vriendelijke ontvangst door portier en personeel, nette garderobe, lachende barman en dames... Alles bij elkaar en trek naar Zaandam absoluut waard. Het is ook maar een steenworp van Amsterdam. De volgende editei is op 28 Augustus 2010 en dat is een "Bank-Holiday" in Engeland, mocht je uit de UK komen en niks te doen hebben dat weekend... Party verslag door: Lady Ana - TGirl model Club Midnight When it looked like the Gothic scene in Amsterdam was almost dead on its knees, up popped 2 guys with a passion for mixing their fabulous & successful Boudoir Bizarre fetish parties with that of the dying Gothic Scene. Combine the two genres in this setting and you're left with an explosion of creative culture leaving most so called Fetish Gothic parties in their wake. The 2 people behind Midnight Sin are now one, as Nico is the sole survivor of the original partnership. And the party is now known as Club Midnight. If you've ever attended the yearly Boehem Noir in Berlin or Club Antichrist in London, you'll know of the kind of party I'm talking about. The last event held on 16th January 2010 was undoubtedly a fine mesh of Gothic personalities meets Fetish and nice to see a great many Boudoir Bizarre party goers making the effort to come out and support what is a truly original event. The weather will have certainly put many off as the sub zero temperatures and cold drizzle did there bit. Without a good DJ a party is nothing, with one it's danceable but with four, it's amazing. Club Midnight fortunately has 2 great resident DJ's in G-Host & AnnaKonda. Both are as equally diverse as the other, yet somehow magically manage to come up with the goods to keep you dancing and in a good mood all night. 2 Guest DJ's XLII & KRAT made a fine impression to what was already a night to cherish. Regulars will know by now that all tastes are catered for with a Dancefloor, Lounge, Play Areas, Absinthe Bar, Indoor Smoking Room and some very diverse acts. Regulars include Amarantha LaBlanche, Miss Mirjana & Katana, all fine examples of what a Gothic beauty may be. Without sense captivation a good party wouldn't be a fantastic party and so Club Midnight go out of their way to regularly entice 2 famous Amsterdam VJ's to come to do a live Visuals mix. Food isn't yet served but if you ask nicely you may get a nice gothic come worship you staring at your heels begging for your attention. The Goth scene is as everyone knows, genderless and so everyone is welcome no matter what creed, gender or colour, just so long as they fit with the dress code. Of course you can be scary but why limit it to that when there are so many friendly Gothic and Fetish types gathered in one place. A very reasonable 15 Euros is all that it costs to gain entry, add friendly security, cool wardrobe & smiling bar staff and you'll be happy you made the trek to Zaandam, a short hop from Amsterdam. The next event is on the 28th August 2010, that's a UK Bank Holiday weekend for the Brits reading this.
